Some PACE-protected Audio Units plugins crash on startup with macOS Sonoma 14.4, when running on M2 or M3 hardware under the ARM architecture.
This has been reported by PACE here:
https://help.ilok.com/faq_licenses.html#sonoma_14_4_plugins
To solve this, you can run your DAW under Rosetta:
1. Quit your DAW, open the Finder, and go to your Applications folder.
2. Right-Click on your DAW.
3. Click on “Get Info”.
4. Tick “Open using Rosetta".
If you haven't upgraded to macOS Sonoma 14.4 yet, consider avoiding it.
I upgraded to macOS Sonoma 14.4 and my AU plugins stopped working. Print
