At Sound Radix, we are committed to full transparency regarding the security of your data. We are writing to update you on a security incident that we now believe involved unauthorized access to our broader user database, in addition to our customer support platform.

IMPORTANT: Fraudulent Emails

As part of this incident, an unauthorized party gained access to a support agent's account and sent out fraudulent emails.

  • Sender Display Name: "Eviivo Support"

  • Sender Email Address: bnc at soundradix.freshdesk.com

If you received an email from this address, please delete it immediately. Do not click any links or download any attachments, as they may lead to malicious sites or phishing attempts.

What Happened?

We recently discovered that an unauthorized third party gained access to our external customer support platform (Freshdesk). Upon discovery, we immediately secured the affected account and implemented additional security protocols to prevent further unauthorized access.

What Information Was Involved?

Our investigation confirms that the unauthorized access included the names and email addresses of users who have interacted with our support team. While not conclusive, we also have evidence that the unauthorized access extended beyond our support platform and included names, email addresses and hashed passwords stored in our broader user database.

What Information Was NOT Involved?

Please be assured that we do not store sensitive financial information, such as credit card numbers or bank account details, on our servers. Your financial data was not exposed during this incident.

What We've Been Doing

Since discovering the breach, we have been implementing deep, comprehensive security measures to ensure our platform is secure and your data is protected. We are continuing to monitor our systems closely and are working to prevent this from happening again.

Recommended Next Steps

1. Practice Email Vigilance

Because your email address was included in the accessed data, your email address may be targeted for phishing. Always verify the sender of an email before clicking links, especially if the message creates a sense of urgency.

2. Change Your Password

Reset your password on soundradix.com and in any other service where you have used the same password. In general, never use the same password for multiple services; we recommend using a password manager such as Bitwarden.

3. Check Your General Digital Footprint

We recommend using a trusted service like Have I Been Pwned (https://haveibeenpwned.com).

  • Email Search: Check if your email has been involved in other, unrelated data breaches.

  • Passwords Tool: Use the "Passwords" tool to see if a password you use has ever appeared in a public leak. If it has, you should change it immediately on all platforms where it is used.

Conclusion and Support

We sincerely apologize for this incident and any concern it may cause. We take your data privacy seriously and are committed to earning and keeping your trust.
