Studio One 6 may crash when opened without an Auto-Align 2 or Auto-Align Post 2 license

Modified on Mon, 21 Oct, 2024 at 12:40 PM

This problem is resolved in Studio One 7.

Workarounds:

  1. Upgrade to Studio One 7 (if possible).

  2. [For Auto-Align 2]
Each AA2 license allows up to two activations. If you’re using only one, you can activate the license on the affected machine.
    To activate your license:

    • Open the iLok License Manager and log in to your account.
    • Find your Auto-Align 2 license, then select 'Activate' from the Licenses menu.
    • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the activation, ensuring you choose your machine as the activation location.

     3. Remove the plugin from your system.
Move the plugin from these locations to your desktop:

        [AA2]

  • /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/
  • /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/

    [AAP]

  • /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST3/

You can drag the plugin back to its original location whenever you want to use it.
