In order to avoid complicated setup Muteomatic uses transport data provided by the host.

- All plug-in formats (AAX/RTAS/VST/VST3/AU/AUv3) provides Transport state of playback.

- Only VST/VST3 provides Transport state of Record.

- Only some hosts comply with the VST standard of reporting the Record state.

If the host or format being used doesn't support Record state, the Record state will be linked to Playback and the button itself will be grayed out.

We strive to add Record functionality whenever possible, sadly many hosts don't send the required information to the plug-ins.
